One imperial quart is same to two royal pints each consisting of 20 fluid ounces.

In each conventional of measurement:

one quart is equal to one 4 minutes 1 of a gallon

and

4 quarts same one gallon.

I learned this visual an approach in school. Draw a big "G" to represent gallons. Within the "G" attract 4 "Q"s. "Q"=Quart. Within each "Q" attract 2 "P"s. "P"=Pint. Within each "P" attract 2 "C"s. "C" =Cup.
