I picked up a marble table top from a cafe the was going the end of business and also I"m trying to figure out how to mountain it. Initially it was glued come a special square that plywood, which was subsequently screwed to the cast iron central pedestal. The plywood was rotting so I removed it, but I"ve no idea how they glued the on - the was absolutely firmly fixed, and half an hour through a belt sander has only rather cleaned up the old glue. Any type of ideas what it could have been? Or what I must replace that with? ns was going to go with a fill of epoxy resin, but maybe there"s other better...

Hi Jon,I"ve just picked increase a bottle of Weldbond native Workshop sky which looks favor it would be up to the job. I think it"s classed together a pre-catalyzed PVA glue. It glues wood, tiles, plaster, foam, laminates, cork, concrete, china, ceramics, glass, porcelain, marble, corian, gypsum board, leather, metal, fabrics and more. I reckon it could be simply what you"re looking for.

PU glue would additionally do it........as would few of the gap-filling adhesives from building sites such together No an ext Nails or liquid Nails. But I"m with Al..........silicon would certainly stick it well, and permit movement, and being removable if necessary. Cheap, simple & conveniently available.

Mike first time ns heard the name liquid pond here,Hardwear store below sell that in Canada that is pretty good glue.I recognize different countries sell different things

Yes, various terminology and brand name in different countries can obtain confusing. The finest example I know is "Durex" .......which in Australia is a kind of adhesive tape, and also in brothers is a condom!!!...........I wouldn"t really want to obtain them confused!

Talking around what different names mean in various other parts of the world, would certainly you please explain to Warren why you room using a rubber to remove pencil lines from her drawings!.
